Paul R. Frey's Obituary
Paul R. Frey, age 88 of Batesville, died Wednesday, January 31st, at Hospitality Hall. Born July 28, 1918 in Dearborn County Indiana, he is the son of Anna (Nee: Alig) and Robert Frey. He married Catherine Moster on May 26, 1951 at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg.Paul farmed and also worked in the furniture repair department of the Union Furniture Company for 30 years. He was a member of St. Louis Church, singing in the choir for 20 years and a Past President of the Laughery Township Farm Bureau. Survivors include his wife Katie; daughter Melanie Garlitch of St. Paul, Indiana; sons Michael of Indianapolis, Indiana, James of Batesville, Indiana, David of Indianapolis, Patrick of Jamestown, Indiana, Louis of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister Alvina Kunkel of Connersville, Indiana; brother Lawrence Frey of St. Leon, Indiana and 17 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Edward.Visitation is Saturday, February 3rd, from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 2 p.m. at the St. Louis Church with Rev. Humbert Moster O.F.M., officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Louis School or Oldenburg Academy.
