Robert N. Wessel's Obituary
Robert N. Wessel, age 19 of Batesville, Indiana, died Monday, September 4, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette, Indiana. Born December 10, 1986, in Batesville, he is the son of Mary Jean (Nee: Bedel) and David Wessel. Rob was a student at Purdue University. He also was a member of St. Louis Church, the St. Louis Youth Group, the St. Louis Mission Team, the Marine Officer Candidate School and participated in 4H for 10 years. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.He is survived by his parents Mary Jean and David; sisters Rebecca Tyler of Muncie, Indiana; Maria Wessel of Batesville; brothers Michael, Daniel, Stephen, Samuel and Benjamin Wessel, all of Batesville; maternal grandmother Loretta Bedel of Morris, Indiana, paternal grandmother Roselyn Wessel of Batesville, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is Thursday, September 7th, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, September 8th, at St. Louis Church with the Rev. Dennis Duvelius officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to the St. Louis Mission Team or the Southeastern Indiana Right to Life.
