Ronald E. Holzbacher's Obituary
Ronald E. Holzbacher, age 67 of Batesville, Indiana, died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born July 4, 1938 in Sunman, Indiana, he is the son of Martha (Nee: Minneman) and Norman Holzbacher. He married Bonita "Bonnie" Roberts April 16, 1966, at St. John's Lutheran Church Hubbels Corner in Sunman.Ron was the warehouse operations manager for the Hill-Rom Company in Batesville for 44 years before retiring in August of 2000. He served in the Indiana National Guard from 1959 to 1965. In addition to St. John's Church, he was also a member of the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 and the Batesville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1130.He is survived by his wife Bonnie, daughters and son-in-laws Teresa & William Heilman of Indianapolis, Tammy & Hershel Fancher of Charlestown, Indiana; brother Robert of Sunman and granddaughters Bridget Heilman, Abigail Heilman and Lauren Fancher. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Ralph.Visitation is Monday April 10th, from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11th, at St. John's Lutheran Church Hubbels Corner in Sunman, with visitation one hour prior to services. The Rev. Kirstin Springmeyer will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 and the Ripley Co. V.F.W. Post #3183. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall Fund.
