Rosie Dierckman's Obituary
Rosemary C. Dierckman, age 76 of Batesville, died Saturday, February 25th, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Born April 26, 1929 in Brookville, Indiana, she is the daughter of Alma (Nee: Humig) and Lambert Doll. She married Elmer Dierckman August 12, 1950 at St. Anthony's Church in Morris, Indiana.Rosie was a cook at St. Louis School for 21 years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening as evidenced by 30 rose bushes around her home and was a longtime member of the group of ladies responsible for the food prepartion for the annual St. Louis Festival. Rosie was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the St. Louis Ladies Society.She is survived by her husband Elmer, daughters Lola Fisher, Linda Dierckman, Barb Kruthaupt, Ellen Eckstein, Melanie Dierckman & Lisa Dierckman, all of Batesville; sons Roger of Dublin, Ohio, Dennis of Katy, Texas, Steve of Buford, Georgia, Bill of Noblesville, Indiana, Bob of Sunman, Indiana; sisters Anna Mae Erhart of Morris, Shirley of Indianapolis, Indiana; brothers Floyd and Alois Doll, both of Morris; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.Visitation is Tuesday, February 28th, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 6:45 p.m. by the Daughters of Isabella and a rosary service follows at 7 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1st, at St. Louis Church. Rev. Daniel Mahan and Rev. Bill Farris, O.F.M., will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests may be made to St. Louis School or Oldenburg Academy.
