Ross G. Jordan III's Obituary
Ross G. Jordan III, age 23 of Batesville, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at his residence. Born November 29, 1989 in Batesville, he is the son of Marilyn (Nee: Shriver) and Jeffrey Jordan. He married Lorie Borgman September 12, 2009 in Batesville. He was a welder/fabricator for Custom Conveyor Inc.His family shared what a terrific husband and father he was and his love of family. They also told of his happy, easy going nature, his big heart and willingness to help others. Ross enjoyed being outdoors doing activities that ranged from fishing to working on cars to shooting. Other hobbies included collecting guns, playing guitar and according to his family he was a good cook and a master of the grill. Ross was artistic with a knack for drawing and with his welding skills was talented at making metal art. Having a love for spicy foods, Ross ate at El Raparo regularly, always ordering the same thing………the huge, hot and fiery Donkey Burrito. One of his families’ favorite stories which brings laughter each time it’s told, involves Ross and a 4 wheeler: Getting an old 4 wheeler up and running, he was at his mother’s house and called for everyone’s attention. While riding a wheelie, he lost control, destroying his mother’s deck and managed to knock himself out in the process. Ross is survived by his wife Lorie; son Colton; mother Marilyn Jordan of Batesville; sisters Rachel Dwenger of Floman, Alabama, Sarah Blaum of Westport, Indiana, Abby Blaum of Greensburg, Indiana, Emily Jordan of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandparents Ross and Mary Anne Jordan of Kokomo, Indiana and mother and father-in-law Debbie and Jerry Borgman of Batesville. He is preceded in death by his father.Visitation is Thursday, August 22nd, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday August 23rd, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeremy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Batesville United Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Colton J. Jordan Benefit Fund at FCN bank.
