Ruth L. Molnar's Obituary
Ruth L. Molnar, age 97 of Batesville and formerly of Cincinnati, died Monday, August 31, 2015 at the St. Andrew's Health Campus. Born June 17, 1918 in Cincinnati, she is the daughter of Alma (Nee: Miller) and Samuel Wymer. She married Bernard Molnar March 2, 1946 in Cincinnati and he preceded her in death March 24, 2000. Ruth worked 23 years as a bookkeeper for the French Bauer Dairy Company in Cincinnati, retiring in 1980.
Her son indicated that in her younger years she loved to go ballroom dancing and was an accomplished seamstress. Like many during that era, she made most of her families clothes from pants, shirts and ties to dresses. She was also a good cook with her Swiss steak a family favorite. After retiring, Ruth and Ben did quite a bit of traveling. While many of their trips were to the eastern part of the country, a trip west to Hawaii was one of their favorites.
Ruth is survived by her son Larry of Batesville; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by her son Bernard (Bernie) and sister Alice Thomas. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8th, from 9 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Steve Yeaton officiating. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 9th, at Bridgetown Cemetery in Cincinnati. The family requests memorials to St. Andrew's Activity Fund.
