Sandra L. Meadows' Obituary
Sandra L. Meadows, age 72 of Oldenburg, died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. Born April 4, 1940 in Anderson, Indiana, she is the daughter of Faye (Nee: Badgley) and Edward Ronsheim. She worked for over 15 years in the graphics department of Hillenbrand Industries before retiring in 1995.Sandra knew what was important in life. Relationships were precious and treasured more than anything material. Time spent with her family was her greatest joy, especially with her two granddaughters Sophie and Chloe. The other passion in her life was animals. Big or small, she loved them all. One very special pet was her horse “Wizard”, who was with her nearly 20 years. Her family described her as a free spirit with a strong will, and an attitude that could be “a little bit sassy.” They also talked about her great sense of humor as well as her strong religious conviction. She was a positive person whose favorite sayings were “Be Happy” and “Things will get better.” An avid reader, she leaned toward books that had positive themes. Some of Sandra’s other hobbies included being outdoors, where she loved to spend time, and painting with oils. A talented artist, many of her pieces have been on display at shows and events throughout the area. According to her family, Sandra did have one weakness…………..sweets. Among her favorites was divinity. She is survived by her son Jeff Meadows & daughter-in-law Gina of Oldenburg, son Mark Meadows of Kennesaw, Georgia, granddaughters Sophie and Chloe Meadows, and brother Steven Ronsheim of Columbus, Indiana. There will be no visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
