In this photo Sister Alice shows the beautiful sari which Fr. Charles Savarimuthu, associate at Queen of All Saints, Beattyville, KY gave her. She in turn gifted it to St. Therese Oratory as altar cloth. It was a joy to share in potluck suppers and hikes down to Contrary Creek that she helped organize.
Alice was my classmate at ICA And I am saddened to hear of her death. I have not been able to get to Homecoming for several years so did not know of her illness. She and her family are in my prayers and fond memories.🙏💗🙏

Sister Alice taught me so much about how to really think about the disadvantaged in ways I never understood even though I think of myself as a compassionate and loving person. I am from St. Barbara church in Pennsylvania. Working with Sr. Alice through our association with the people of Kentucky was one of the greatest learning experience and privilege of my life. I will never forget her compassionate, down to earth and sincere love and respect of those less fortunate. She was a great influence in my life and I will love and honor her forever.
