Sr. Mildred Ann Reckamp, O.S.F.'s Obituary
Sr. Mildred Ann Reckamp O.S.F., age 90, died Wednesday, June 28th, 2006. A member of the Srs. of St. Francis Convent in Oldenburg, she died at the convent. Born December 14, 1915 in Ethlyn, Mo, she is the daughter of Gertrude (Nee: Freise) and Henry Reckamp.She is survived by her half sister Dorothy Oliver of St. Peter, Mo, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents; her step mother Regina Reckamp; two sisters; six half sisters; six brothers and four half brothers. She entered the convent on December 30, 1933 and made her final vows July 2, 1939. She taught at several schools in Ohio and Missouri before retiring to the Motherhouse in 1998.Sr. Mildred Ann donated her body to science and a memorial mass will be held 10 a.m., Friday, June 30th, at the Srs. of St. Francis Motherhouse Chapel, with the Rev. Carl Hawver, O.F.M., officiating. Memorials may be made to Srs. of St. Francis Convent, P.O. Box 100, Oldenburg, IN, 47006.
