Sr. Carol Ann Sunderman's Obituary
Sr. Carol Ann Sunderman O.S.F. (formerly Sr. Mary Carmel), age 72, died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Srs. of St. Francis Convent in Oldenburg. Born June 9, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she is the daughter of Hilda (Nee: Kramer) and Robert Sunderman. Sr. Carol Ann entered the convent on September 8, 1953 and professed her final vows August 12, 1959. She taught at several schools in Indiana and Ohio until 1986. She then served as a member of the General Council for the convent from 1986-1994 and for the last 13 years she has served on the Formation Membership Team.She is survived by her brother Robert Sunderman of Cincinnati; sister-in-law Mary Jo Sunderman of Batesville and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother David Sunderman.Visitation is Wednesday, June 13th, from 1-7 p.m. at the Motherhouse Chapel in Oldenburg. Funeral services follow at 7 p.m. and burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Srs. of St. Francis, P.O. Box 100, Oldenburg, IN, 47036.
