Sr. Sue Bradshaw O.S.F.'s Obituary
Sr. Sue Bradshaw, formerly Sr. Catherine Marie, age 76 of the Srs. of St. Francis died Friday, September 30, 2011 at the convent. Born April 24, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana, she is the daughter of Susan (Nee: Thomas) and John Bradshaw.She entered the convent September 8, 1954 and made her final vows August 12, 1960. A teacher, she taught at St. Louis School in Batesville, Indiana, St. Joan of Arc and St. Christopher in Indianapolis, St. Clements and St. Catherine’s in Cincinnati, Ohio, Sacred Heart in Fairfield, Ohio and Carroll High School in Dayton, Ohio. She received her Master’s degree from Xavier University and a Ph.D. in Asian studies from Georgetown University and became a professor at Marian University in Indianapolis. She also served as pastoral minister for St. Joan of Arc and St. Christopher’s churches. She retired to the motherhouse in 2008.She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law John (Jack) and Pat Bradshaw as well as nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation is Tuesday, October 4th, from 9-11 a.m. at the motherhouse chapel in Oldenburg followed by services at 11 a.m. and burial in the convent cemetery. Fr. Carl Hawver O.F.M. will officiate.
