Sr. Mildred Grein, O.S.F.'s Obituary
Sr. Mildred Grein O.S.F., age 88 of the Srs. of St. Francis in Oldenburg, died Monday, November 6, 2006, at the convent. Born April 17, 1918 in Seymour, Indiana, she is the daughter of Alma (Nee: Bettenbrock) and William Grein. Sr. Mildred entered the convent on September 8, 1946 and made her final vows August 12, 1952. She taught at schools in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio for 35 years before retiring to the Motherhouse in 1983. Sr. Mildred is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Grein of Seymour. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by brother Dennis Grein.Visitation is Wednesday, November 8th, from 1-3 p.m. at the Motherhouse Chapel with Rev. Carl Hawver O.F.M., officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Srs. of St. Francis, P.O. Box 100, Oldenburg, IN 47036.
