Sr. Rachel had a twinkle in her eye that revealed the joy in her being. She and my late husband were both first day of the year babies! She was a true treasure and always had a kind word and smile for all visitors to the monastery. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. God speed, Sr. Rachel!

Sr. Rachel was never without a smile of greeting and a presence of hospitality. I was a friend and volunteer in Indianapolis and frequently answered the phone. It was almost always for Sr. Rachel regarding the Communion host orders and deliveries. What a wonderful service: to enable so many communities to share the Eucharist! She was an example of the truly Christian life. I loved her and will never forget her.
