Sr. Mary Louis Murer's Obituary
Sr. Mary Louis Murer O.S.F., age 88 of the Srs. of St. Francis in Oldenburg, Indiana, died Thursday, September 4, 2008, at the convent. Born August 13, 1920 in St. Louis Missouri, she is the daughter of Mary (Nee: Linneman) and Harry Murer. She entered the convent September 7, 1939 and made her final vows August 12, 1945. Sr. Mary Louis spent 56 years teaching at St. Louis in Batesville, Indiana, St. Vincent’s Orphanage and Our Lady of Lourdes in Indianapolis, Indiana, St. Vincent’s in Bedford, Indiana; St. Catherine’s, St. Margaret Alacoque, St. Simon’s and Resurrection in St. Louis, Missouri, Sacred Heart in Troy, Missouri and Our Lady of Mercy and St. Anthony’s in Dayton, Ohio. Sr. Mary Louis retired to the Motherhouse in 1997.She is survived by sister and brother-in-law Henrietta and Ben Kemper of St. Louis as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister Catherine Theresa Murer and brother Harry Murer.A memorial service will be held at the Srs. of St. Francis Motherhouse Chapel at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9th, with Rev.
