Sr. Florence Marie Rose's Obituary
Sr. Florence Marie Rose O.S.F., died Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Srs. of St. Francis Convent in Oldenburg. Born October 21, 1909 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she is the daughter of Flora (Nee: Mueller) and William W. Rose. Sr. Florence Marie entered the convent December 28, 1927 and made her final vows July 2, 1933. Sr. Florence Marie taught several schools in Indiana and Ohio and also served as Math Professor for Marian College in Indianapolis. She retired to the Motherhouse in 1988.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters Florence Rose and Margaret Hautman as well as brothers William A., Carl, John, William H., George, Robert, Tom and Joseph Rose. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation is Thursday, March 22nd, from 1-3 p.m. at the Motherhouse Chapel in Oldenburg. Funeral services follow at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Carl Hawver O.F.M., officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Srs. of St. Francis Convent.
