Sr. Teresa Mitchell's Obituary
Sr. Teresa Mitchell O.S.F, age 60 of the Srs. of St. Francis in Oldenburg, Indiana, died Friday, September 12, 2008, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born January 31, 1948 in Cincinnati, she is the daughter Mae (Nee: Guilfoyle) and Charles Mitchell. She entered the convent September 8, 1966 and made her final vows August 12, 1974. Sr. Teresa taught at St. Anthony’s in Evansville, Indiana, Our Lady of Lourdes in Indianapolis, Indiana, St. Bonaventure’s, Our Lady of Victory and St. Veronica’s in Cincinnati. She spent the last 24 years at St. Veronica’s.She is survived by her sisters Molly French of Cincinnati, Bridget McDermott of West Chester, Ohio, Catherine Beck of Erlanger, Kentucky; brothers Michael, Timothy, Charles, Francis, Brendan and Sean Mitchell, all of Cincinnati, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.Visitation is Wednesday, September 17th, from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Motherhouse Chapel in Oldenburg. Funeral services follow at 6:30 p.m., with Rev. Hans Gruenbauer officiating. Memorials may be made to the Srs. of St. Francis, P.O. Box 100, Oldenburg, Indiana, 47036.
