Steven M. Ward Sr.'s Obituary
Steven M. Ward Sr., age 59 of Batesville, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at his residence. Born October 28, 1950 in Hendrick County Indiana, he is the son of Ethel and Milo Ward. He was a long haul driver for Batesville Casket Company before retiring and a member of the New Point Christian Church. Steve served in Vietnam with the Marine Corp from 1969 to 1970. He is survived by his wife Vickie of Batesville; daughters Micki Ward of Batesville, Brandi Claybrook of Greensburg, Indiana, Kristina Gibson of Batesville; son Steven Ward Jr. of North Vernon, Indiana; sisters Lana of New Castle, Indiana, Terri of Muncie; step sisters Linda, Gail, Becky, Cindy and Judy, all of New Castle and eight grandchildren. Visitation is Friday, April 23rd, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Mark Vice officiating. A private family burial will be held. The family requests memorials to Hospice of Margaret Mary Hospital.
