Thomas C. Potts' Obituary
Thomas C. Potts, age 74 of Batesville, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Margaret Mary Health. Born September 25, 1939 in Bernardsville, New Jersey, he is the son of Florence (Nee: Bassett) and John Potts. He married Wilma Petersen August 3, 1979 in Bellingham, Washington. Tommy owned a heating and cooling business for much of his life, but later took a position in Alaska working as a drug and alcohol dependency counselor which he found very rewarding. Tommy loved his children and spending time with them. His interests included being a huge Denver Bronco’s fan, watching Dr. Oz on T.V., homemade lasagna and taking a ride in the car to enjoy the countryside. A dog lover, his dachshund “Duke” was dear to him. Wilma teased that he thought of himself as a ladies’ man. He served in the army from 1954-1957.He is survived by his wife Wilma, daughters Kristin Horseman of New Jersey, Deborah Devers of Indiana, sons Tommy of New Jersey, Rick of Osgood and three grandchildren. There will be no visitation or services. Tommy's wishes were to be cremated.
