Timothy William Fullenkamp's Obituary
Timothy W. Fullenkamp, age 60 of Batesville, Indiana, died Monday, September 7, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born August 2, 1955 in Batesville, he was the son of Viola (Nee: Vierling) and Eugene Fullenkamp. He married Kathleen Yorn on May 15, 1976 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville. Tim was a member of St. Louis Church and Batesville Lumbermen Vintage Baseball team. He worked for Hillenbrand Industries for over 40 years and was most recently Guest Relations Scheduling Coordinator at the Batesville Casket Company for the past 8 years.Family was very important to Tim. He always took the time to let his kids and grandchildren know how proud he was of them and never missed a school or sporting event that they were involved in. Over the years, Tim enjoyed coaching his daughter Rachel’s CYO volleyball team and was a coach and umpire for Little League Baseball. He enjoyed going on family vacations with Kathy and the kids, with Myrtle Beach and Disney World among his favorites. Tim enjoyed Fantasy Football and was looking forward to this year's draft.One of Tim's favorite passions was golf. He loved to play, especially with his retired golfing buddies. In April 2015, he attended The Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia and met legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus. He also attended The Memorial tournament in Dublin, Ohio this past June. In 2008, Tim became a founding member of the Batesville Lumbermen's Vintage Baseball team. He played first base and was given the nickname "Sparky". This past year when he could no longer play, he took on the task of being their scorekeeper and coach.He is survived by his wife Kathy; daughters and sons-in-law Emily and Josh Bower of Batesville, Rachel and Logan Rose of Cincinnati, Ohio; son Matthew Fullenkamp and his fiancée Shannon Roell of Oldenburg, Indiana; grandchildren Ella and Evan Bower, Kelsey and Trenton Roell; mother Viola Fullenkamp of Batesville; sisters Pam (Ski) Gerdowsky and Becky (John) Quick, both of Batesville, Kathy (Gene) Rosemeyer of Sunman, Indiana; brothers Terry of Sacramento, California, Randy (Irene) of Oldenburg, Jay (Linda) of Sunman and David (Patti) of Batesville. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene.Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10th, from 4 - 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 11th at St. Louis Church, with Rev. Stan Pondo officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Phi Beta Psi Sorority Cancer Research.
