Virginia M. Enzinger's Obituary
Virginia M. Enzinger, age 85 of Batesville, Indiana, died Sunday, June 27, 2010 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Born January 31, 1925 in Milan, Indiana, she is the daughter of Mary (Nee: Burkhardt) and Edwin Seevers. She married Paul Enzinger Sr. August 13, 1946 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville. Virginia was a filing clerk for the Hill-Rom Company for 20 years, before retiring in 1988 and was member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she loved to cross stitch and make block quilts. She was an avid golfer, loved to bowl and also loved to go dancing. After retiring, she could be found working on crossword puzzles, keeping up with the soap operas, especially “Days of Our Lives” and “One Life to Live” and watching various game shows, particularly “Wheel of Fortune”. Her children fondly remember her being a very good cook and her barbequed chicken was one of their favorite meals. She loved to spend time with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They remember their frequent visits and enjoying popsicles with her.She is survived by her husband Paul Enzinger Sr. of Batesville; daughters and son-in-laws Constance and Vernon Munchel of Milroy, Indiana, Barb and Jim Koester of Batesville; sons and daughter-in-law Lawrence and Joyce Enzinger of Batesville, Paul Enzinger Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana; sisters Alberta Giltz of Batesville, Dolores Spritzky of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Marcella Klene; brother Edward Seevers; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Visitation is Wednesday, June 30th, from 4 – 8 p.m., at the funeral home. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services are Thursday, July 1st, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Phi Beta Psi Sorority Cancer Research or to the Hansen Oncology Center.
