William C. Flaspohler's Obituary
William C. Flaspohler, age 70 of St. Mary’s, Indiana, died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. Born July 4, 1936 in Franklin County Indiana, he is the son of Margaruite (Nee: Amrhein) and Herman Flaspohler. He married Gail Pfeiffer July 4, 1992 in Batesville.Bill is an army veteran and a member of the Brookville V.F.W., the Brookville American Legion and St. Mary’s of the Rock Church. He was a truck driver at the Pepsi Cola Co. for 43 years before retiring in 1999 and for the last eight years took care of maintenance for the John Hillenbrand family.He is survived by his wife Gail; daughters Toni Flaspohler of Napoleon, Indiana, Anna Marie Nobbe of Batesville; step daughters Kristine Beal of Batesville, Angela Young of Indianapolis, Indiana; stepsons Matthew Pulskamp of Batesville, Aaron Pulskamp of Dearborn, Michigan; sisters Alberta Fecher of Sunman, Mary Thornsberry of Batesville, Wilma Ripperger of Brookville; brother Kenneth Flaspohler of Brookville; six grandchildren; six step grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by sister Lorraine Dierckman and brothers Cecil and infant John Flaspohler.Visitation is Thursday, June 7th, from 4-7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, with a rosary service at 6 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, June 8th, at St. Mary’s of the Rock Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside rites provided by the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 and the Batesville V.F.W. Post #3183. The family requests memorials to Batesville E.M.S. 10 or St. Mary’s of the Rock Church.
