William R. Wagner's Obituary
William R. "Russell" Wagner, age 82 of Batesville, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at The Waters of Batesville. Born December 19, 1923 in Batesville, he is the son of Hilda (Nee: Osier) and William F. Wagner.Russell served in the army during WWII. He was a factory worker and foreman at the Hill-Rom Company for 45 years before retiring as well as a member of St. Louis Church and the Batesville V.F.W. Post #3183. He is survived by his wife Mary Jane (Nee: Boing) of Batesville; sons Steve of Batesville, Tim of Batesville and Alan of Dayton, Ohio; brothers Dave and Roy, both of Batesville and three grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Gilbert.Visitation is Saturday, August 19th, from 9-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 11 a.m. at St. Louis Church and burial in the church cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Batesville V.F.W. Post #3183 and by the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271. Memorials may be made to the Batesville E.M.S. 10 or the American Heart Association.
