Doc, I had the privilege of meeting and knowing you for only 10 years, heaven almighty what a man. The stories you told, the way you told them, the places with the stories were all so interesting and sounded so amazing to live. You blessed and graced everyone you touched. I will miss you. Love Leo Bruno.
Uncle Doc, I still treasure all of the flowers that you and Aunt Mart gave to me for my garden and thought of you each season as they bloomed. I’ll never forget my childhood memories of when you came to our house on Christmas Eve playing Santa Claus. You never forgot my Birthday and I always looked forward to the Birthday card with a handwritten note. You will be in my heart always and I will miss you and the visits when I was in town. Love, Your niece, Mollie

Uncle Doc: You were such a great person to have in our family. Seeing you and Aunt Mart was always a highlight of our days. You were both so sweet to all of us and we will always remember and appreciate your kindness. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to spend time with you on Christmas. We will always love and keep you in our hearts. Watch over us with Aunt Mart, Grandma and Grandpa. Love you, Val and Amanda
Uncle Doc will be missed by all. He was the true definition of an uncle who cared deeply about his nieces and nephews. I'll miss his hand-written letters where he told me about his garden, the weather and his health. Uncle Doc was such a kind, gentle person who I really admired. I am blessed to have him as my uncle.
I am sad to learn this news. Doc Prickel was a wonderful man to learn from. I would stop and chat when he was outside in his yard and he had interesting tales to share. May his day in glory be the best celebration ever due to the wonderful christian life he led.
The Prickel Reunion has lost its historian - for Doc could recall names, places, dates and some of the funniest stories of years ago ... and some recent ironic tales too.Everyone sure enjoyed your company when the Prickel's gathered at my table ... and you will be greatly missed.Rest in Peace, Doc ... enjoy your eternal reward in Heaven with Martha.
