I am deeply saddened to hear of Alyssa's passing. It just breaks my heart that yet another beautiful young adult has succumbed to the deadly and ironically romantic lure of drugs. I met Alyssa when I gave her a ride home from her stay at rehab. I'm not foolish enough to think she was "cured" but I hoped that maybe she, unlike so many others, would really make it. My heart breaks for her sister, her little girl & her entire family.
Alyssa, I'm not ready to say goodbye to you but know that you are now at peace. I will remember you for your radiant smile and contagious laugh always. I will forever believe you are worthy of love and happiness and hope that somewhere along your journey, you believed it, too. I love you.

I want to send my deepest sympathy to Alyssa's family. There are no words which will make the death of a child easier, but time will help. She will never be gone because the things you love most about her will always be with you. Her smile, her voice, the things she loved to do most, will always remind you of her.
