I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. Your mom was a lovely lady!
Aunt Dot was a treasure indeed - a wealth a family history, a legendary gardener and one known to enjoy the company of family and friends for a party any day of the week. She taught me a little about fishing, a little more about politics – and a great deal about the importance of family. May the angels join her party in heaven.
So sorry to hear of your loss, Kathy we were just talking about her Saturday night. We will be out of town this week and unable to attend visitation but please know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers all this week. I'm sure there will be lots of good memories shared.
We love you and miss you Grandma. Say hi to Grandpa for us.
Our sympathy to Dot's family, especially Patti and Kathy who I knew from high school. Your mom was a wonderful lady and she will be missed. Our prayers are with you over this challenging time. Sincerely, Tom and Mary Jo Bland
I remember as a kid the only time my dad would go to the store was if Dot was working. If she wasn't at the check-out, we would wonder around the store waiting for her to return, she could have the longest line of customers and we would still go to Dot's line, time was never an issue when the reward was getting to see Dot's dashing smile and red curls. My dad would always greet her "Hey Red, how's the weather down there" (A dig referring to her height). She would flash that smile and reply "you honery thing, don't make me get my stool out". We would laugh, they would hug, and we left looking forward to our next trip. Dad often told mom that going to the store just wasn't the same after Dot retired. She certainly was a ball of fire and will truly be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
