Gene was a great friend to my husband and I here in Gulf Shores. We worked together at Shrimp Festival and shared lots of good times at Senior Ambassador and Chamber of Commerce activities. Though he was already quite ill, when I was recovering from an automobile accident, it was Gene (with Marty's support, of course) who came to visit me at work and cheered me up. I'll miss you, Gene.

I had the distinct pleasure of being a friend of Gene Becker for about 13 years in Gulf Shores, AL. His giving spirit to our community was beyond inspirational. Gene was beloved by many in our town and will be sorely missed by us all.
Gene Becker was a kind, gentle, goodhearted man who cherished a deep love for all genres of music. He treasured friendship, peace and loyalty. He shared his time, energy and enthusiasm to better the world around him. With Gene's passing, the world became a darker place. Our loss is God's gain.Gene, no time to rest! Enjoy yourself!!
