Patricia A. Ritter's Obituary
Patricia A. Ritter, age 82 of Batesville and formerly of Indianapolis, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at St. Andrew’s Health Campus in Batesville. Born November 30, 1928 in Elkhart, Indiana, she is the daughter of Velva (Nee: Stocker) and Everett Ritter. She was a nurse and served as a Professor of Nursing at DePauw University for 30 years.Pat enjoyed many interests in her free time. She was a fan of football and baseball, an avid reader, liked spending time outdoors and loved opera as well as classical music. She was tough in the classroom and pushed you to excel. Sometimes conversations with her would test ones’ patience as Pat was very analytical as she listened to your questions and could be equally analytical with her responses. Visitation is Monday, April 4th, from 11 a.m. until noon at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at noon with Rev. Robin Owen officiating. Burial will be in Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Welcome Home Ministry.
