Sr. Ruth Ann Boyle's Obituary
Sr. Ruth Ann Boyle, age 58 of the Carmelite Order in Oldenburg, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Margaret Mary Health. Born October 23, 1956, she is the daughter of Arvilla (Nee: Veno) and Kenneth Boyle.
Sr. Ruth entered the Carmelites September 9, 1981. Sr. Ruth's life of prayer was enriched by her great love of music. She was a member of the choir of the Franciscan Sisters and helped with liturgical planning. In 2011 Sr. Ruth had surgery for carcinoid cancer, made a full recovery and had several years of quality life before the cancer returned at the end of last year.
She is survived by her father Ken; sisters Lurene, Donna, Terri, Jacqueline; brother Wesley and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is Monday from 1 - 3 p.m. at the convent chapel in Oldenburg. Services follow at 3 p.m. with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Carmelite Sisters, P.O. Box 260, Oldenburg, IN, 47036. Weigel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
