Sister Cherabine was my principal at Our Lady of Mercy in Dayton OH and my eighth grade teacher. In addition, I was fortunate to know her parents who lived on the same block on Sandhurst Avenue with my family and served as their DDN newspaper boy for several years in the 1950-60s. My OLOM 1961 classmates and I were very fortunate to have Sister and the other Franciscan nuns as great role models for us while in elementary school. She will be in our prayers.
To the family and to the Sisters of St. Francis I wish to extend my deepest sympathies on the passing of Sr. Helen Lawrence (Cherubine). Sr. Cherubine taught me in the seventh grade at Holy Trinity School in Indianapolis, IN. I remember her fondly.
