I am so sorry for your loss. Sister Noel Marie was at St. Joseph's School in Shelbyville, IN, when I was a student there in the late 1970s. I remember her fondly for being tough as nails with her students, which helped us to become our best selves, but also for her kindness and gentleness. Sr. Noel was definitely a top-notch teacher. She had high expectations of us and that paid off for us St. Joe kids. I remember her ringing the bell to get the students quiet! I won't think of St. Joseph School without thinking of her; she made a strong impression on that place and it's better because of her.
