Speaking for my grade school classmates at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School in Dayton OH, Sister Mary Martin will always be a profound influence on our overall education and life's direction. She will be remembered with great affection and love from the OLOM Class of 1961. I was not involved with the famous water fountain incident at Mercy with Sister but Joe Butler of my class could probably clear up any facts and name the guilty party too!
We were very sorry to hear about your loss. Though it has been many years, we still appreciate your friendship with our parents. We hope everyone is doing well.
